“Delightful Days in Dunsborough”

Featured

On the 16th and 17th of August I took a trip to the South West of Western Australia. The holiday was set for Dunsborough, but also planned Margaret River and Cowaramup as well. Planning was fun and I loved packing bathers, a book, and dresses even though it was Winter in Australia.

On the way to Dunsborough we stopped of at the Bunbury Markets and I couldn’t believe how big it was! Lots of tomatoes….. plus vegetables, fruits and I got a $10 fruit watermelon juice which was absolutely delicious.

Flowers in Bunbury Markets were gorgeous!

I stopped by to smell the roses.

After about two hours drive from Bunbury, or maybe an hour or so we arrived at the motel which was called the Bay Village Resort and Spa Dunsborough. It was small but a 4 star hotel. I thought it was a cute place and I was able to place my laptop on the round dining table, and relax on the couches while watching The Voice that night. I did my nails, when I went to the Dunsborough Centrepoint shopping centre I bought a nice coloured nail polish, and a few essentials for staying there.

How cute was my little room! All set out elegantly, and nice bathroom towels. It felt luxurious.

We set off on a small adventure on the Monday, but did most things on the Tuesday.

Of course, I found a gorgeous little bookstore that had a book I loved! Text and Co had a lovely lady that I was able to chat with. I went into this store the Monday and Tuesday! and she was delightful to talk to – I was eager to buy a particular book but didn’t yet.

Books Books Books!

On the Tuesday we went straight for coffee at Merchant and Maker which was in the town of Dunsborough, and I loved to look around at the products on display! It is like a general store where they sell health products but also serve tea and coffee etc. You can follow Merchant and Maker on Instagram.

They had a variety of products. I didn’t buy anything, but I enjoyed my Skinny Weak Latte!

Next stop was Indian summer and Co. Which I had a look at the products and candles firstly, but then when I looked at the clothes I was completely drawn to a $50 white dress on SALE!!!! It was stunning, and casual and flows that I felt I HAD to buy it! It was meant to be….. The shop is an Australian brand that have floaty, feminine pieces that give a beauty to women that love to shop all things vintage inspired dresses. You can follow them on Facebook at Indian Summer and Co.

These are the gorgeous products that were on display.

We then went to the Dunsborough Shopping Mall, and I had heard about a Health Food Store, that we decided to check out Naturaliste Health which is on the corner of where there are shops lined along where the car park is.

I had another coffee, and then a Monet Toastie! It was the best toastie I had ever tasted and I am being totally honest.

I loved the little health food store. It was like a stop by place where you can get coffee and food, and also buy products in the store inside.

They do the most amazing IGTV videos on their Instagram page! Full of vibrancy and good energy!

Can you tell the toastie was DELICIOUS!?

We then took off on a drive to Margaret River, and went to Happs Wines. It was like entering into an adventure, it was magical seeing the beautiful scenery, and there wasn’t just wine.

There was pottery! It was like a small museum with lots of knick knacks, and antique looking things. I wasn’t taken by anything as I am not a pottery person but it was interesting going in there.

I headed to the back area where you can probably see on my TikTok that I did some wine tasting. I decided to buy the Fuchsia Happs Wine, as it was soft and fruity and my kind of Rose’! We went to Margaret River town and also Cowaramup and I bought this lovely picnic basket along with some food type goodies.

The book “The Paris Library” was from Text and Co. Yes, I decided to buy the book for $35.

We then went to Stella Bella Wines in Margaret River, and did a bit of wine tasting.

A few vineyards! and the sun was shining on a Winter day! We were so lucky!

After we had experienced these little towns we went back to the motel and I decided to have a little dip in the spa. Well, not a dip, more like sitting…..

Went back to the motel, and got ready to go out and have dinner. We went to a little Thai place that was right next to the motel and I had the usual Chicken and Cashew Nuts! My favourite Thai dish! The restaurant was called Bamboo Spice. You can follow them on their Facebook page Bamboo Spice here.

The next day we had another coffee at Naturaliste Health and another toastie – Thos Monet toasties are just the best! Then headed back home. We stopped by a friends coffee place in Bunbury Paper Route where they supplied the cakes. So I had a Spiced Chai Carrot Cake and took it home! Follow them on Instagram at Paper Route.

The 2 days holiday was amazing and I would do it all over again. In fact, in January I will be going to Busselton so I will be planning to go to all those places again.

I had a ball, and absolutely loved it all! I also bought Dandelion tea from the health food store which is great health wise! Please visit my Health and Wellness website which I will update with a Roast Veggie Pasta recipe up on the blog tonight! Will post on this blog too for your reference, just so you don’t miss out!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the small time I had in Dunsborough. It was “delightful” those two “days”!
